About Me


Hi, I’m Alexa Kearns! I grew up in Toledo, Ohio, and attended Notre Dame Academy before earning my Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Cleveland State University in 2024, with a focus on social media and media writing.

During college, I completed 18 communication courses and a business course, including Social Media Communication, Persuasive Communication, Communication Media Law, Interpersonal Communication, and Professional Communication. These courses strengthened my writing, strategic thinking, and ability to craft messages that connect with audiences.

While at Cleveland State, I gained hands on experience in social media, assisting with content creation and posting for the Maxine Goodman Levin School of Urban Affairs. When courses shifted online due to COVID-19, I returned home and completed the remainder of my degree remotely while continuing to manage social media online. This experience strengthened my organization, time management, and ability to work independently.

After graduation, I expanded my expertise by managing the online presence for 2 local companies as well as a non-profit organization. These experiences allowed me to combine creativity and strategy to help organizations grow their reach and engage within their communities.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my cats, traveling to new places with my boyfriend, Max, exploring creative projects, and finding new ways to bring ideas to life online.

I’m passionate about helping businesses and nonprofits tell their stories, connect with their audiences, and make a meaningful impact!

Alexa Kearns Media was born out of a passion for helping businesses and nonprofits tell their stories online. I first started my social media page on October 10, 2025, and quickly realized I wanted to take it further, by October 24, 2025, I had officially launched my LLC.

I honestly hadn’t planned on starting my own company, but after seeing the amazing feedback from Brunner and Sons Renovations, whose social media I manage, and hearing people ask who was behind their content, I felt inspired to create a social media marketing company of my own.

I’m still learning as I go, constantly watching seminars and videos to improve my skills. While I don’t know everything, I am confident in the work I put in for my clients, and I take pride in helping them grow their online presence and connect with their audiences.

At Alexa Kearns Media, my goal is simple: provide thoughtful, creative, and effective social media management that helps businesses and nonprofits shine online.
